Nursing law, rules, and information booklets, 1905-1969.

This series consists of handbooks (manuals) published annually by the State Education Department documenting its regulation of the nursing profession. Although information varies over time, the handbooks generally contain statutory requirements; regulations of the commissioner of the State Education Dept.; and a variety of other information pertinent to ongoing examinations, education, and certification of nurses. Some handbooks contain a list of Nursing Board members with dates of the expiration of their terms, special area of expertise, and institutional affiliation.
